TechnipFMC has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract by BP for the Matapal project located off the south-east coast of Trinidad.
We will execute the front-end engineering design (FEED), as well as the detailed engineering, procurement, installation and hookup, brownfield execution and commissioning activities. We will also partner with local Trinidadian suppliers and contractors to execute the brownfield topsides and construction activities. The project covers the supply and installation of flexible flowlines, jumpers, umbilicals, and installation of the control system to tie-in the Matapal field to the existing Juniper platform.
Arnaud Piéton, President Subsea at TechnipFMC, commented, “We are very pleased to be awarded this contract for the BP Matapal project. We look forward to executing and building on our successful relationship with BP.”
The Matapal project will develop the gas resources discovered in 2017. The project will be a subsea tie-back to the existing Juniper platform, with production capacity of 400 million standard cubic feet of gas a day.
