Equinor has awarded us a four-year contract for LWI services and we will use the LWI vessel Island Wellserver for this project. Island Wellserver has been on contract to Equinor since April 2009. This new LWI contract will start up in April 2020 bringing Island Wellserver’s excellent track record into her 12th year with the same end client. The contract calls for a minimum of 200 days of continuous operations. A total of 150 TIOS offshore personnel – including subcontractors – will be assigned to this operation.
Odd Strømsnes, Managing Director of TIOS AS, said, “We are very pleased to be awarded this contract by Equinor which compliments the excellent service we have provided to them for a number of years. Together with Equinor, we ventured into this Light Well Intervention market with Island Frontier in 2006, and now 14 years later we will continue these services to Equinor increasing our efficiency under the highest health, safety and quality standards."
Island Constructor
Norske Shell also awarded us a LWI contract for work on the Knarr field. The scope covers retrofitting of two gas lift valves in order to prepare the well for increased oil recovery and is expected to be done in June 2019. This contract is a call off to TIOS’ Frame Agreement with Norske Shell, and it is the ninth consecutive year that we will perform similar services for Norske Shell. The LWI vessel Island Constructor will be used for these services.
Upon completion of this campaign, Island Constructor will immediately mobilize for an eight well re-stimulation program for ConocoPhillips on the Ekofisk field. This program will last for approximately 45 days.
Odd Strømsnes, Managing Director of TIOS AS, said, “These contracts are very important for TIOS. Both clients are well known to us, and these awards are compliments to our organization for our previous successful campaigns for Norske Shell and Conoco Phillips. Furthermore, it is an acknowledgement of TIOS and our clients’ joint team efforts in order to propose operational solutions to our client’s technical challenges. TIOS looks forward to a busy summer 2019.”
